Chocolate Chip Surprise Pie Cookies

Chocolate Chip Surprise Pie Cookies
Here's what you'll need:

Pillsbury Rolled Pie Crusts
Now make a 1/2 batch of your favorite chocolate chip cookie dough or pre-made chocolate chip cookie dough (I added M&M's to the pre-made cookie dough)

Egg wash (1 beaten egg + 2 Tbsp. water)
And that's all you'll need for this recipe!

Makes approximately 24 pie cookies
Directions:
First, form cookie dough into teaspoon shaped balls and flatten slightly.

Put these on a baking sheet and freeze for approximately 15 minutes. This will keep the dough soft on the inside of each pie cookie when baking. The only error you could really make would be putting too much dough inside each, which would cause it to leak or break.
Preheat to 350.

Roll out your crust as you would for a pie and using a round 1 1/2" cookie cutter cut small circles for your pops. If you don't have a cookie cutter, no worries, use a small round drinking glass. TIP: If you flour the rim, the dough will not stick to the glass.

Place the chilled cookie dough on top of half the rounds. Push cookie stick into the dough and top with remaining rounds and pinch together to seal using a fork. (I used a stir stick)

Brush with your egg wash and place on a baking sheet.

Bake for approx 10-12 minutes or until pie crust is golden.
Let completely cool prior to drizzling with chocolate. I chose to drizzle with milk chocolate and white chocolate that I colored yellow to go with my party theme that day.

These are SUPER easy and are sure to be a hit at your next party!

Enjoy!

Dishing It with Amanda

Photobucket

Amanda from Serenity Now is having a party to give bloggers a chance to mingle and to get to know one another a little better.

Amanda asked some suggested questions to get the blog talk and visiting going.

~How long have you been blogging?
About a year… I think!

~Why did you start blogging?
I stumbled upon so many fun blogs and decided I wanted to share my ideas too!

~Tell me about your blog's title. Why did you choose it?
It’s catchy, It’s fun & It’s absolutely me!

~What do you blog about?
Crafts, Cooking, Baking, Home Décor & More

~What is your favorite thing about blogging?
Blogging is like an electronic scrapbook! Also, I LOVE being able to share my ideas with other bloggers and even share fun blogs I’ve come across with followers.

~If you had to choose one famous person to become your blog's next devoted reader, who would you pick?
Anyone but Martha Stewart! LOL!! I’m sure she could teach me a thing or twenty.

~What's the funniest comment you've ever received on a blog post?
“Tiff - I love you, but this is way too much for me. I bought a 6 pack of them in the $1 spot at Target! Lol!” I just loved it!!

Off to tackle my office for the day, but cannot wait to Dish It with other bloggers this evening! If you are new to my blog or you read it and never comment, I’d like to say Hello!!

Be sure to visit Amanda today and have fun Dishing It!

Window Redo - Trash to Treasure

What's more fun than taking something from Trash-to-Treasure?

Spending less than $15 to make it SPECTACULAR!

A girlfriend of mine was getting rid of this antique window and I just knew that I could figure out something to do with it. I've spent the last few months trying to decide how I wanted to display it. Well... I FINALLY decided!

Here's what you need:

Paint & a Poster to match your home decor (Yep, that's it!). OH, and the window of course.
Or... use the window to frame family photos.

Before

Slightly Sanded and Painted Black

I sanded the window frame slightly, because I still wanted the window to have an aged look even after I painted it. Once the paint dried, I went back and sanded the edges a bit to look a bit more weathered.

While the window is drying, cut the poster that you chose into the same size as the window panes and attached them from behind with an adhesive (I used a heavy duty tape).

And there you have it... A Window Redo!!

I happen to absolutely LOVE this project!!

I still have another antique window, but I have a different idea that I want to try.

Stay Tuned...

Favorite Song Friday

I just LOVE this new song by Francesca... Her voice is AMAZING!

Beautiful Beautiful - Lyrics
Album: My Paper Heart
Artist: Francesca Battistelli

Don’t know how it is You looked at me
And saw the person that I could be
Awakening my heart
Breaking through the dark
Suddenly Your grace

(Chorus)
Like sunlight burning at midnight
Making my life something so
Beautiful, beautiful
Mercy reaching to save me
All that I need
You are so
Beautiful, beautiful

Now there’s a joy inside I can’t contain
But even perfect days can end in rain
And though it’s pouring down
I see You through the clouds
Shining on my face

(Chorus)

I have come undone
But I have just begun
Changing by Your grace
